Pancake breakfast with John Delaney

Former Congressman and presidential candidate John Delaney visited Bedford this weekend for a meet and greet. He considers himself a “pragmatic idealist,” a person who rose from working class roots to become a successful entrepreneur. Delaney discussed his ideas for a national service program for graduating high school seniors, doubling the earned income tax credit and addressing climate change with new technologies.

House Calls To Heal America at our April meeting!

Save the date!

Bedford Democrats will meet on Monday April 1, downstairs at the Bedford Public Library. The meeting starts at 6:30 P.M.

Our guest speaker, Michael Katz, MD MBA, is a pediatric anesthesiologist and former Delaware State Senator and the founder of House Calls To Heal America.

There is a term used in surgery called the “golden hour”. It’s the time someone has from the moment they are injured – from a car crash, a fall, a shooting – to be treated by the trauma team. After that their chance of survival diminishes.

Dr. Mike Katz believes America is in that golden hour now, and that we have a short time to heal what is broken. The first step is to restore our ability to debate issues while respecting other points of view. Then we can find common ground to move forward.
House Calls To Heal America is a movement that is going door to door throughout New Hampshire, talking with people one on one and in small groups, to hear our fellow citizens’ concerns, what keeps them up at night, and what they think we need to do to fix what’s broken in America.

The public is invited to attend this meeting.
